01 / SETUP

Get ready

  1. Open Perplexity and name the organization, role, and date of the interview.
  2. List the topics that matter for the conversation, such as recent products, strategy, or public challenges.
02 / PROMPT

Give it this

Research [organization] for an interview about [role or topic]. Produce a one-page brief with: what the organization says it does, three recent developments, two open questions, and five thoughtful interview questions. Cite a public source and publication date for each material claim. Prefer the organization's own reports for its stated position, and label outside analysis separately. Flag facts that may have changed since publication. Do not invent private information about interviewers or employees.

03 / WORKFLOW

Make it useful

  1. Open the cited sources and check their dates and exact claims.
  2. Remove claims that are stale, weakly sourced, or irrelevant to the interview.
  3. Adapt the questions to your own experience and the role rather than reading the brief aloud.

One thing to check. Public search results can miss recent changes and may not reflect the interviewer's priorities. Verify important claims on current primary sources.
